Stress Testing______________________________________________
A stress test is used to help diagnose underlying coronary artery disease (blockages in the heart arteries). The test involves walking on a treadmill, the speed and incline of which is increased every 3 minutes.
During the test adhesive electrodes are placed on the chest wall, and your heart rate, rhythm and blood pressure will be monitored. You will continue to be monitored until your heart rate and blood pressure return to normal.
Please bring comfortable walking shoes or joggers for the test.
